We are proud of our Pure Love Doves and the service we provide

A little about us at Pure Love Doves

We are a friendly, family team who offer a personal service, unlike any larger establishment. We are very passionate about our doves that are involved in all of the symbolic releases. We provide white dove release services in Dorset for any type of occasion whether it be for a proposal, wedding, memorial or a carnival. We have various options available and are flexible to work around any type or size of event.

An experienced handler is a vital part of every release! A stunning white Pure Love Dove release does not happen by accident, although we do make it look easy!  Appropriately dressed, the handler will bring the doves to your venue in decorated release baskets or/and cages. Pure Love Doves will set up the equipment in an area that is safe to perform the release. It is important the doves are not released into people, traffic, or wires and have a clear flight path to the sky. There is much to consider and a knowledgeable handler will guide you and help coordinate the release with your photographer/videographer so they can get the best possible pictures.

Our doves are lovingly cared for and are afforded spacious accommodation, good food to keep them in peak condition and most important of all, they are ensured a natural quality of life. The Doves are exercised daily, vaccinated against disease and are banded with identification tags.

All of Pure Love Doves are strong and healthy and are capable of flying hundreds of miles in proper conditions.

On "Dove Release days," the doves food and water are limited so there is no need to worry that the doves will 'have an accident' at an inappropriate moment!

Doves have a life time bond with their mate, which is why two white doves being released symbolises the bride and groom in their the release of "love and devotion", a pair of doves gracefully join together and fly away depicting the union of marriage and the beginning of the couples life together.

As members of the White Dove Society, we are committed to providing the best service and attention to our customer's needs and we take great care and pride in all aspects of the dove release business and doves.

The doves that we use are actually homing doves for release. Once our doves are released at your event they will circle the sky together before making their safe journey home.  Our Doves are capable of flying year round, however, we care very much about the safety of our doves and there are certain conditions that will prohibit their release.

Please refer to our Release policy and Terms page for further details and our guidelines page.

In addition to the dove release at your event we able to offer fantail doves to display at your venue. A great way of welcoming your guests at the entrance to your venue and give a little hint of excitement.  Our fantail doves are beautiful to watch after the release has taken place and they can become another photo opportunity for your album.  Please refer to Caged Displays page for further information.

 A little advice :

Please never release white ring neck or turtle doves that are specially bred for garden displays. It will be certain death for them as they have no homing ability and they will probably land right after being released. This is not the effect you are looking on your very special occasion and they will only perish if released. They have not been trained and they will eventually starve to death or be an easy target for predators. These types of doves do not know how to survive in the wild.
